I’m going to write a note on another action trip like this. This action tour is written about the most beautiful area in the Nuwara Eliya District. That is the town of Bogawantalawa. Anyone who has visited Nuwara Eliya knows what a beautiful place Nuwara Eliya is. There is no other city as beautiful as Nuwara Eliya for the youth who are looking for family trips as well as action trips. The cool and green environment of Nuwara Eliya is something that anyone can imagine. That is why Nuwara Eliya is known by some as Little England.
Little New Zealand in Little England
Nuwara Eliya is often referred to as Little England, but Bogawantalawa is referred to as Little New Zealand. Bogawantalawa is so beautiful. The world-famous Bogawantalawa tea is made from this city. Today we bring you this post about Haritha Mountain (Green Mountain) which enhances the beauty of Bogawantalawa town.
The route to the destination
The most beautiful way to reach Haritha Hill is through the Government Dairy Farm. You can take the Avissawella road to Hatton and from there to Bogawantalawa via Norwood. I can mention this road as one of the most beautiful roads in Sri Lanka, but the section between Norwood and Bogawantalawa was in a dilapidated condition as we traveled.
Once in Bogawantalawa, there are two main routes to the mountain range. From there you can come to the Bogawana Estate via Agarapathana and visit the NLDB Farm. Alternatively you can walk from the entrance near the town of Bogawantalawa to the camping site. When you come through the NLDB farm, you will be issued a ticket by that farm. When you come across the farm you have the ability to take your vehicle to the camping location.
The green mountain is beautiful
We made our way to the campground. Then we encamped at a suitable place there. Looking up from the camping spot you can see a beautiful green mountain. That is the mountain we have mentioned so far. At an altitude of about 1800 m, this mountain is green in color. Large trees are not seen in the mountainous area. But the green grass covered the whole area. It should be noted that this area is infested with leeches. In addition, there are many other animals here.

- Vipers
The cows on the farm can be seen because they are near the farm but they do not come to the camping place. There is no place for you to meet your water needs when camping at night. But you can meet your water needs from the nearby plantation workers’ houses. But you have to make sure that it does not disturb the people living in those houses.
Although mountaineering is a bit difficult, we do not feel the inconvenience due to the beauty of the environment. I will mention that it is not suitable for mountaineering on rainy days. When you climb a mountain, you look at the top of the mountain, but when the mountain is over, you see that you have to climb another mountain. Here you can see a mountain hidden behind a mountain.
Once you reach the top of the mountain you can see the beautiful surroundings. Among them are the Sri Pada mountain range, Kirigalpoththa mountain, AgraBopath mountain, Bogawantalawa town, and many other beautiful places. This trip will undoubtedly be another beautiful memory in your life.
